Dritan Zagani: Albanian mafia has corrupted senior Italian police officers, I was an eyewitness

The former chief of the border in Vlora and the former chief of Anti-Drugs in Fier, Dritan Zagani, yesterday stated at the "Opinion" show of the journalist Blendi Fevziu that the criminal groups of drug trafficking in Albania have managed to corrupt high-level police in Italy.

Zagani stressed that he has occasionally been an eyewitness in such an affair, but by the time when this event took place, he was in house arrest.

He showed that the criminal drug groups in Albania are very strong, as they manage to corrupt the Italian police at high levels.

"I have been an eyewitness in such an affair, I have seen personally, where strong drug traffickers in Albania have managed to corrupt Italian police chiefs," Zagani said.

Zagani was dismissed without motivation from duty, prosecuted for some charges, and publicly threatened, choosing to escape from Albania after publicly denouncing Habilaj for drug trafficking in 2005.
