What means Merkel's victory for Albanians according to German Ambassador in Tirana

Merkel and Rama in Tirana

For the next four years, Angela Merkel will lead again the German Government. But how can her victory be translated, what changes in relationship with Albania and Albanians?

According to the German ambassador in Tirana, Suzane Schutz, the fourth victory in a raw of the "iron lady", means in principle a continuation of Albania-Germany's good relations and full support of Balkan integration in the EU.

Regarding Germany's foreign and European policy, I do not expect any change in the future. All parties in Germany are in the same voice, they are for membership of the Balkan countries in Europe, as well as Albania. The German Nationalist Party will represent a considerable parliamentary faction, but I do not think will affect the policies of the federal government regarding the Western Balkans and Albania," Schutz said.

These elections were quite delicate not only because Merkel's CDU received a lesser score than 2013 (5% less), but also for Schultz's statement, which said that from now and on, the Social Democrats will be the country's new opposition, hinting that a coalition will not be possible.

After the polls declared her victorious, Merkel also spoke about the entering in the Budstag of the nationalist party, considering it a major concern.

"The CDU / CSU is the largest party and will form the government. The election campaign is run fairly well. We will talk to our partners to do their best. It is a major concern for the German people the emigration and security, for which we will discuss over the next few days and weeks. We have many responsibilities but we will talk with our partners to do their best. The campaign is well run." she added./Oculus News
