Best Female Singer Anita Rachvelishvili with the production of Samson et Dalila, Opéra de Paris, Anna Netrebko (Il Trovatore, Vienna State Opera), Ermonela Jaho nominated for her role in the opera Madama Butterfly, Royal Opera, London, Gaëlle Arquez (Xerxes, Oper Frankfurt), Joyce DiDonato (Semiramide, Bayrishe Statsoper, Munich) and Karita Mattila in production (Jenůfa, Metropolitan Opera, New York).

The criticism published on the official site of the Bachtrack Opera Awards on Ermonela Jahos's performance as Madame Butterfly notes: "Jaho not simply sings Butterfly, she becomes a Butterfly. From the moment she appears in the cherry garden we believe in her character. Sliding, in easy step, sleek gestures, she manages to becomes a 15-year-old bride. Jaho takes the character a little by little illuminating and climbing it to the top of the fragility."
