The criticism published on the official site of the Bachtrack Opera Awards on Ermonela Jahos's performance as Madame Butterfly notes: "Jaho not simply sings Butterfly, she becomes a Butterfly. From the moment she appears in the cherry garden we believe in her character. Sliding, in easy step, sleek gestures, she manages to becomes a 15-year-old bride. Jaho takes the character a little by little illuminating and climbing it to the top of the fragility."
