Artistic Lyceum 'Jordan Misja' girls makes Berlin to "sing in Albanian"

For the first time, a huge ensemble of about 40 girls of "Jordan Misja" Artistic Lyceum sang and promoted the cultural, artistic, civic and European values in Berlin. At the invitation of Berline's conductor Sabine Wüsthoff, the Art Choir of the Girls of Tirana, prepared in a high professional and artistic level by Conductor Ermira Alliu, was a beautiful artistic surprise to the Berlin audience.

At Lindenkirche hall, the audience welcomed and applauded the songs of European composers such as Stars, O Salutaris, Mundi Renovation as well as Albanian songs written by Simon Gjoni, Milto Vako and others. An interesting moment was the joining of two choirs and the singing of songs under the direction of Ermira Alliu and Sabine Wüsthoff, creating a dynamic and original soundtrack.

Would sound wonderful and special also the songs of the German composer Robert Schumann such as Der Wassermann, Soldatenbraut etc. The song of George Gershwin "Clap Your Hands", singed and accompanied by choreographic movements, would bring a unique experience and impulse to the great choir, providing a perfect sync and an original sound, melting thus the choir in a special artistic troupe.

The Albanian song "Bie lodra" by the composer Milto Vako (at the same time founder of the choir in 1960s), would bring a very special enjoyment both for the intonations and the characteristic pace of our national music.

The Ambassador of Albania in Berlin, Artur Kuko, expressed his enthusiasm by describing the choir of the girls of the Artistic Lycée of Tirana as the "real ambassadors of Albania", and appreciated greatly this new achievement between the Berlin Girls Choir and the Art Choir Girls Choir "Jordan Misja".

At the end of the tournament, the Berlin Girls Choir President Nikola von Amsberg appreciated highly the choir of Tirana as the choir that sings more clearly and correctly the German songs compared to other choirs participating in international festivals.
