Albanian sculptor takes first price in Teheran with his "Fragile"

 The Albanian artist Genti Tavanxhiu won the first prize at the eighth edition of the International Sculpture Symposium in Tehran for his sculpture titled "Fragile".

He worked his  2.8-meter-high work sculpture at Milad Tower yard in the Iranian capital during the symposium, which began on 21 April and ended on May 14. This news comes by the organizers of the international symposium, writes "Tehrantimes.com".

The second prize was taken by the artist Mostafa Mohseni from Iran, while Francesca Bernardini from Italy and Tatsumi Sakai from Japan shared the third prize. Two other artists, Ana Maria Negara from Romania and Umit Turgay Durgun from Turkey were also honored during the ceremony.

Twelve foreign sculptors and five Iranians were part of the competition, while ten students participated in the seminar symposium section, which did not have a competitive character. However, in the category of students are honored the students Shima Sadat Musawi, Fatemeh Akbar and Melika Nik-Khah./Oculus News
