From May to November 1873, a world exhibition was organized in Prater of Vienna Museum (Austria-Hungary), which exceeded in size and splendor the previous exhibitions (London 1851, 1862 and Paris 1855, 1867).
The exhibition is visited by over seven million people. In the framework of the presentation of the Ottoman Empire, part of which was Albania, in Vienna was presented a collection of photographs of folk costumes of the multinational empire.The picture was still a new phenomenon, and the audience was amazed.
