Albanian President visits Montenegro

Bujar Nishani in Montenegro


Albanian Preisdenti Bujar Nishani welcomed the steps towards membership of Montenegro in NATO, saying that this would contribute to regional security.

"The membership of Montenegro in the political-military alliance of North Atlantic, not only serves and enhances the security of citizens, but it is a contribution to the good of our entire region's security, because increases security and broadens the scope of freedom in the Balkans, Because we need to guarantee peace and stability in our countries and peoples. Montenegrin citizens will understand the importance of being a political-military alliance that ensures peace and stability," said Albanian President Bujar Nishani, who is on a visit in Ulcinj on the occasion of the Municipality Day attended by Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic.

President Nishani expressed gratitude to his Montenegrin counterpart  on behalf of Albania and the Albanian people for the care continual care he shows to the Albanian minority and for their valuable contribution during all these years in strengthening the friendship and relations between the two countries.

"And we try coexistence and Montenegro is not only a neighboring country but also a friend of Albania."  stressed President Nishani.

On his part, President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic, noted that relations between the two countries are a perfect model of good neighborly cooperation, he expressed confidence that they will be strengthened further, especially in economic cooperation in tourism areas , energy, shipping, etc.

President Vujanovic thanked President Nishani for the valuable assistance and support given by Albania for membership of Montenegro in NATO.

Albanian President Bujar Nishani and Filip Vujanovic today are staying in Ulcinj where they were welcomed by the Mayor Nazif Cungu. The two presidents attended and greeted the festive event, which was held at the Cultural Center on the occasion of the Day of Ulcinj, during which artists from Montenegro, Albania and Croatia performed. /Oculus News
