 Skanderbeg Castle, located at Rodon Cape, a strip-shaped as a peninsula that falls inside the Adriatic Sea in central Albania. 

Lies in a triangular shape between Rodon gulf north and Lalzit gulf to south. Rodon Cape is the largest bay in the country, which closed to south the Drini River Bay. 

Parallel with its coastline are stretching clay hills, which are distinguished by the forms surrounding the whole bay.

Prince Karl Topia wished to turn this place into a shipyard, while our national hero Skanderbeg aiming to have an outlet near to the sea found here the Castle.

This Castle began to rise after the first siege of Kruje in 1450 and thought that endet around 1452. The wall of the Castle reaches a length of 400 meters and at its peak had roundtables towers.

In 1500 the castle was occupied by Venice.
As a result of corrosive activities of sea water part of the walls are submerged under the waters of the Adriatic.

Today visitors can watch the outer wall of the right side, which ends with a round tower. Near the castle are the ruins of the Church of St. Peter, considered by residents as a holy place../ Oculus News
