At the peak of the controversy between the political forces in Albania and the increasing tension on the eve of the general elections, the US ambassador in Tirana Donald Lu has shown high doses of optimism.
Speaking at the general meeting of the Assembly of the American Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Lu said that "2017 will be a year of excellent Albania, starting with the implementation of Judicial Reform and this will transform the business climate."
Ambassador Lu went further, saying that "... 2017 will also be the year of parliamentary elections that will put the country into a democratic course for four years of political stability and greater progress towards the European future of Albania".Meanwhile, the US ambassador issued his warnings: "2017 will be the year in which the European Union and the United States supports Albania's efforts to cope with the huge social challenge of organized crime and illegal drugs. This will create greater opportunities for honest businessmen. 2017 is the year when Albania will tackle corruption at high levels through the creation of special anti-corruption and structure of the National Bureau of Investigation," said Mr. Lu./ Oculus News
