Rama: Acropolis exist thanks to Albanians. Greek media go crazy

The answer that Prime Minister Edi Rama gave to the concern of Greek Foreign Ministry over some building demolition in Himare for the purpose of a better tourisem infrastrcuture, ignited the Greek mainstream media in an fourious attack against the Albanian Prime Minister.

"Acropolis is saved thanks to Albanians, is the aggressive answer of Edi Rama relating to the issue of Himare" opens its article the largest newspaper of Greece, "Kathimerini", which translates all the status of the Prime Minister on its official profile Facebook and explains this response refers to the order for the displacement from their homes of 19 homogeneous Himariotes families making a parallel with Athens.

"We do not make distinctions about building demolition in Himare" is the title of the article of another daily newspaper. "To Vima" says that Albanian Prime says that Greece intervention is gauche and therefore called on a meeting the Greek ambassador in Tirana.

While the newspaper "Epirous" has put the title "The situation escalates! Official Tirana calls on a meeting the Greek Ambassador and Rama provokes Athens," an article stating that after 15 years the relations between the two countries are on the edge.

Greek media wrote that Albanian Prime Minister does not know the story and that Gjergj Dushmani is not Albanians, but is a Greek from Corfu.

Meanwhile, "To Ethnos" writes that "Albanians continue to provoke with Himara". Other media write about what they see as an incredible reply of Edi Rama on the issue of Himare referring to the official residence of our Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but the online portal "Pro News" goes further writting that the "ignorant of history Edi Rama challenges: Acropolis is still standing thanks to an Albanian citizen. Himara is Albania ".

Rama status on Facebook has sparked Greek media, which have put him on headlines giving thus even more heat to replies exchanged on both sides of the border for several weeks.
