Albanian parliament voted yesterday evening the package of laws necessary for the implementation of the Judicial Reform. The Opposition gave its vote only for the law for the establishment of special structures in the fight against organized crime and corruption of senior officials, SPAK.
The law, which received 122 votes in favor, envisages establishment of the National Bureau of Investigation, which is expected to operate under the model of the FBI of US.
"Voice of America" says that members of the Bureau will be trained at the FBI Academy. They will have at their disposal the most advanced technologies of investigation, while they will be forced to undergo the test of the truth. An FBI agent will also be sent to the US on Tuesday to oversee the activities of members of the Bureau.Parliament voted for 5 other laws which foresee the establishment of a new set of structures and replacement of existing institutions. But they took only the votes of the majority, as the opposition left the hall after the adoption of Regulation of SPAK. Most of them pushed the law of the governing bodies of the Justice system, with the aim of reaching an agreement with the opposition on the formula for the selection of members to be proposed not from the ranks of the judiciary for the formation of new institutions, as the Supreme Judicial Council, which replaces the High Council of Justice, to the Prosecutor Council or the Justice Inspectorate.
With the adoption of the package of laws needed is created the path of the implementation of the Law Reform, part of which are over 30 other laws.
