A police officer was detained after being accused of being involved in the cultivation of cannabis in the area of Kolonja.
The news came by the Prosecution of Korca, where the Police Station officer of Cologne, Edvin Meko, turns out to be a direct grower of narcotics, as well as partner with several other growers in the area.
Again, according to the prosecution, the police officer through his family planted and cultivated some cannabis farms in some mountainous areas of Erseka in Southeast Albania. Near his family narcotics plots were other persons that have planted tha same, they have been arrested already, Albanian Telegraphic Agency reports.This officer assured the narcotic growers that he would have notified them if there would be police operations in the area. The officer was a kind of protection by the "State" for the growers.
The balance of the operation was the discovery of about 17,500 cannabis plants and the arrest of four persons.
