Italy financing over 2 million euros for infrastructure projects in Albania

 Transport and Infrastructure Minister, Edmond Haxhinasto and Ambassador of Italy to Tirana, Alberto Cutillo signed this Tuesday morning an intergovernmental agreement project "Project facility for feasibility studies and final design at the infrastructure sector".

According Haxhinasto, the agreement provides funding of the Italian Cooperation of more than 2 million euros for preliminary design, and final environmental impact study for doubling of Milot-Shkoder road segment (in Northern Albania), in order to strengthen the important north-south corridor toward Montenegro, the road section Vaqarr - Kavaja (towns belonging to the Municipality of Tirana), and the by-pass of Elbasan, which impacts directly on the corridor east-west, as this city is located along the road that runs from Durres to Qaf Thanë.
