Plane crash in Russia, 66 killed

A passenger plane from Dubai crashed and burned while trying to land at the airport in the south Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, killing more than 60 people.

The plane crash occurred today in the early morning hours, and officials have identified the aircraft as the Boeing 737-800, which was coming from Dubai. All persons on the board of the aircraft, 66 of which 55 passengers and seven crew members all at once, have died, reports the local Ministry for Emergency Management.

Officials are quoted as saying that the possible causes of the crash can be linked to technical problems, the crew errors, bad weather, or a combination of all three.

A local official said that terrorism "is not believed to have been the act of this crash and even this is not an option."

FlyDubai airline confirmed the news that all persons on board were killed, including four children.
