Greece seeks sanctions for EU member states that have closed their borders to refugees

 On the eve of today's summit held among Turkey officials with the representatives of the European Union, Greece insisted in this meeting to be set sanctions for member states which unilaterally decided to close their borders to the entry of refugees, Anadolu Agency reports.

Deputy Defence Minister Dimitris Vitsas who heads the group working for refugees, said today that Europe must not have in its composition "castle-states".

Athens criticized Austria several times for limiting the number of refugees entering and this caused the gathering of about 460 thousand refugees in Greece. Of this number, about 14 thousand refugees are currently located in Idomeni, at the border between Greece and Macedonia.
