Albanians are "conquering" the European Operas - German Media writes

Saimir Pirgu

The prestigious German newspaper "Die Welt" wrote last week about the success of Albanian musicians who have "conquered" the European operas.

Saimir Pirgu, 35, is currently one of the most famous tenor of Albanians.

Initially he was forced to play the violin and for the first time he sang in 2000 in Bolzano.

Like all the other Albanian artists, he made a career abroad. He now lives in Verona, but is loyal to Tirana, writes "Die Welt".

Pirgu conducted a few days ago a concert in Tirana, the proceeds of this concert were given to charity.
