Faculty of Geosciences of Tirana Visits Mitrovica


Dean of the Faculty of Geosciences at the University Polytechnic, Prof. Dr. Perparim Hoxha and another representative of the Faculty Prof. Ibrahim Milushi stayed today in Mitrovica, the largest city of North of Kosovo.

They were welcomed by Southern MItrovica Mayor Safet Kamberi, who has informed about the general situation in the municipality. He informed the guests from Tirana about efforts that the municipality is making to the overall development, with a particular emphasis on economic development, agriculture and industry.

On this occasion, he said that the division of the city and political problems that continue to exist in Mitrovica have made foreign investors reluctant to invest here.
"The lack of foreign investors is reflected negatively on the development of the municipality and the creation of new jobs," said Kamberi.

Perparim Hoxha, after thanked for the reception, expressed his willingness and desire to cooperate with municipal institutions and relevant faculties in the municipality of Mitrovica.

Vice Kamberi, donated to guests from Tirana the map of Kosovo made with crystal stones of Trepca.

At the meeting in Mitrovica Municipality was present also the Director for Protection and Rescue, Musa Dragaj and the Director of Education, Pajazit Hajzeri.

Guests from Tirana, during his stay in Mitrovica are hosted by Trepca Kombinat manager Ahmet Tmava and then visited Standërgut Mine and the Museum of Crystals of Trepca.

Also, they have also visited Isa Boletini University in Mitrovica, where they were welcomed by the Rector Alush Musaj.
