Albania will soon organize a meeting with Agriculture Ministers of Mediterranean countries in Tirana, where as the central theme will be "Agriculture as an alternative to emigration."
The news was announced by the Minister of Agriculture Panariti during the meeting with his French counterpart in Paris, Stephane Le Foll. Mr. Panariti said on this occasion that will be required by the EU financial support on this sector.
Our agriculture is one of the main branches of the economy. It employs the majority of the Albanian population. Recent years many of them have migrated, causing lack of work labour.Albanian authorities are hoping to help the agriculture by increasing investment in agriculture, will bring increased production and consequently increase revenues. Last year, some agricultural areas recorded encouraging results, making many employees to turn their eyes to the village as a serious alternative of employment.
