Saranda - two Customs Employers, a Policeman and a Trader Arrested for Smuggling

  •  Saranda Police arrested this morning two customs officers, a police officer and a trader. Sources suggest that their arrest is made for smuggled goods crossing the Albanian-Greek border at Qafë-Bot, Saranda.


For this ofence are arrested Erjon Bajrami, 54, resident in Saranda, the customs officer in charge of the shift team, Kristaq Naco, customs official of physical control Hysni Bazaj, 59 years old, resident in Saranda, a Border Police, Antonil Zenelaj, 39, resident in the village of Vllahimë Vlora, and the driver of the vehicle.


Also are wanted by Police is Migjen Nushi, 34 years old, resident in Vlora. According to Police, around 17:00, on the Qafë-Bot main road, anti-smuggling services stopped a van type "Benz" with plate number AA226JT, owned by Antonil Zenelaj.

On the basis of this operation, during an audit exercise in the vehicle, these services have concluded that the vehicle was loaded with used tires, which resulted uncleared. During the investigation carried out these citizens, in cooperation with each-other, made it possible to stop the passage of goods at customs checkpoint Qafë Botë, Saranda.
