Yesterday, Deputy Minister of Defense, Petro Koci and US Deputy Ambassador David Muniz paid a visit on board of "USS Porter, DDG-78"the ship, where they were welcomed by the commander and the vrew of the ship. The uniqueness of this visit was the participation of a group of members of the American Corner in Vlora and student of International School of this city.
Officials, diplomats, military and Vlora students were transported from the port of Vlora to US Patrolling ship "Butrint" P-133. Accompanied by the Chief of the Public Relations of the Embassy, Mr. Ryan Roberts, youth of Vlora visited the ship, where they are introduced to some of its technical features, weapons, equipment and the tasks it performs.
Also members of the American crew explained to visitors how they joined the US Navy, experience, specialty, opportunities and prospects that provides service in the US Navy, love for the profession and US state etc.
