Police have launched a string of anti-cannabis operations all over the country.
A well-organized operation launched by Shkodra police in conjunction with Rapid Intervention Force has resulted in destruction of 12.139 cannabis roots in different areas across the region. The troops have detected 75 plots planted with narcotic plants in 9 different areas.
The narcotic plants were found in the place called Mllojë, Vau i Dejës, in Bojaj, Bruçaj, Sumë, Likaj, Telumë, Kishë Arrë, Postribë and the place called Prroi i Çuit. Police are working to identify and capture the cultivators.
Meanwhile, Vlora police have destroyed 2 plots planted with 1319 cannabis sativa. The narcotic plants were found in the village of Kropisht at the place called “Moçalet Janaj”. The cultivator of narcotic plants Fatjon Koçiraj, 28, resident in Vlora has been declared wanted.
Meanwhile, as many as 515 roots of cannabis sativa have been destroyed in Kuçova and Skrapar. The plants grown to a height 130 cm were found in the village of Frashër (Kuçova), and Koprënckë (Skrapar). Investigation is underway to identify the cultivators, ATA reports.
