The Republic of Kosovo expects a positive recommendation from the European Commission regarding the criteria for the Schengen visa liberalization for Kosovo. Institutions believe that next year time will come for Kosovo citizens to travel without visas to European countries.
Ministry of European Integration in the Government of Kosovo has already concluded its second report which includes the fulfillment of the European criteria set by the European Union assessment mission.
Minister of European Integration, Bekim Çollaku in an interview to Radio Free Europe said that this document includes technical and legislative packages, necessary for this process.
Now, Çollaku expects the European Union to take action, which among others includes sending a new evaluation mission to Kosovo
