Italy, Woman Finds Wallet Filled up with € 25,000 and Gave it to Police

A woman in Messina, Italy, found a wallet on the road filled up with € 23,000 and gave it to the Police. The wallet belongs to a 63-year-old tourist. The woman says she didn't thought twice before giving the money to Police, because according to her, stealing is not a norm.

"In this society, stealing is the norm and honesty makes news. He was delighted and hugged me, "the woman said in an interview for Mediaset.

The woman is a teacher by profession and has to raise two children, and obviously the amount of € 23 thousand would help her a lot, but she had no remorse.

"It was not easy, but I have rules in my life and one of those rules is to not steal", declared the mother of two children, without showing hes identity.

"I can't show my face, I do not want thanks, I did what had to be done", she added.

The French tourist, who lost his wallet, thanked the mother with a hug and with an amount of 1% of total sum, Italian media reports.
