International hang gliding competition “Albanian Coast Trip 5” starts from Velipoja

 The 5th edition of the international hang-gliding competition “Albanian Coast Trip” started Monday in Velipoja, Northwest Albania, while 12 Albanian and foreign pilots will fly over the Albanian coast from the northest peak - Velipojë - to South -Butrint.

“Albanian Coast Trip 5″ is conceived as an international competition, attended by Albanians, Czechs and Austrians pilots. The first phase will take place over 5 days, on the air route from Velipojë to Butrint.

Protection and promotion of the Albanian nature and ecosystem are the main goals of “Coast Trip 5”, which takes place on tthe 5th year in a row in our country under the auspices of the Albanian Aeronautics.

“Coast trip 5” is supposed to be organized in two stages, the first one is a 5-day race competition, projected to be followed by the second phase in October.
