Floods in Tetovo, 5 have been killed and 11 wounded

Five people died from the harsh weather and floods last night in Tetovo, in the west of the country. The victims are three adults and two children.

Sources from the Tetovo hospital talk about 11 wounded from the floods, but also many other material damages. The floods were caused by the fact that Shkumbin river flowed out of its bed.

The bad weather and the floods have left many homes without power supply. The bad weather also affected a part of Eastern FYROM.

PM Nikola Gruevski visited the area of Tetovo along with several other ministers. He said that the government will hold an urgent meeting to come to the aid of Tetovo and its surroundings.

Also, mayor of Tetovo, Teuta Arifi is on the ground as of last night and the emergency committee of the commune is clearing the area from the floods.
