Electricity Theft, the Operation is Going on

State Police in conjunction with OSHEE (Power Distribution Operator) are working to cut illegal electricity connections, identify and bring to justice all those suspected of energy theft.

According to a press release issued by State Police, during August 10-16 some 85 joint task forces Police- OSHEE have been working every day to fix this big economical problem.

The controls on business and household subscribers have uncovered 30 cases of power theft with 32 perpetrators.

8 of them were caught acting and arrested on charges of power theft. 10 others have been declared wanted and 14 persons are under investigation.

During this week police have arrested an electrician and an OSHEE affiliate chief.
State Police and OSHEE are decided to fulfill the mission until the last illegal connection is cut. All those responsible will be brought to justice, whoever they are.
