National History Museum to be promoted on the “Balkan Museums Network” website

As of today, the promotion of values, importance, artifacts and projects of National History Museum, are presented on the official website of Balkan Museums Network.

This promotion, which presents Albanian national values, will remain on the website of the Balkans Museums Network for the next three days.

Exhibits from the ancient times to Albanian recent history are on display in 7 pavilions of the National Historical Museum in Tirana.

“Our trip to the National Historical Museum starts with the Pavilion of Antiquity. It is the richest pavilion in the Museum with 585 objects that belong to the period from 3000 BC to XII Century. Mosaic of the Beauty of Durres, The Head of God Apollo, and Head of Zeus, helmets, breastplates, weapons and Illyrian tools are on display in this part of the Museum, according to the website of Balkan Museums Network.

One of the most unique objects in the Museum – the Epitaph of Gllavenica – is on display in the Pavilion of the middle Ages.

In the Pavilion of Albanian National Renaissance, Pavilion of Independence, National Liberation Antifascist War and Communist Terror are displayed artefacts from the VI to XX Century.

A great collection of 70 icons and iconostasis from the XVI to the early XIX Century are displayed in the Pavilion of Albanian Iconography.
