Lazar Krstic announced on Saturday his resignation to the position of Finance Minister in the government of Serbia.
After the government meeting at which the draft laws on labor and on pension and disability insurance were adopted, Krstic said that the decision regarding his resignation was made in agreement with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.
Krstic said that he advocated for a program that includes wage and pension cuts, layoffs and the market price of electricity, which would be almost impossible to implement under present conditions.

The prime minister and the minister of finance must see eye to eye on the steps that need to be taken and on the deadlines for taking them, and Aleksandar Vucic understands best what can be done at this moment, said Krstic. /Tanjug/
