WB Report; Minister Cani: "Energy reform more urgent, painful and problematic"

"Review of Public Finance" raport was presented  today in an official activity held at Tirana Hotel, where was also present the Minister of Finances.
The World Bank representative, Tahssen Sayed said that the recovery of the economy can be achieved only through structural reforms for growing the level of employment and also in the field of pension and energy .
"The World Bank is committed to provide technical assistance to Albania. I thank the government and the World Bank team. I want to thank all the participants who will be engaged in this project," Sayed said.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Finances, Shkëlqim Cani, thanked the World Bank and stated that this report comes at the right moment, when management of public finances requires a new approach.
Cani talked paritcularly on reforms and especially in the field of energy which according to him is urgent and of great importance for public finances.

"This reform requires a solutions today because tomorrow will be too late. We must give a solution as fast as major as energy. More troubling, problematic, deeper and more painful the energy reform will be," Cani said.
