Polls Close in Kosovo, 43,20 per cent of more than 1,700,000 eligible voters cast their ballots

After 12 hours, polling station closed their doors at 7pm for voters to cast ballots in early general elections.
The Central Election Commission in Kosovo said that some 43,20 per cent of more than 1,700,000 eligible voters cast their ballots.
The largest turnout was registered in Pristina -- 51.73 per cent, while people in the Serb-dominated areas were less interested to participate in the polls organized by Pristina. Turnout in Mitrovica North was 38.83 per cent; in Leposavic some 37.44 per cent cast their ballots; 41.02 per cent of voters cast their ballots in Zubin Potok, while only 27.36 voted in Zvecan.
No major irregularities have been reported, but authorities and NGOs said that their observers had witnessed thousands of cases on family votes, hundreds of cases of impact on voters and several other cases of bribing voters.
