Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Water Management, Edmond Panariti was yesterday at Baldushk municipality to promote the onset of olive planting campaign. This campaign will continue in other municipalities of Tirana, Lezha and Elbasan, Berat and other districts. Panariti already said that farmers will have qualitative and certified seedlings available to them.
It is selected varieties, carefully selected, which have proven to suit local environment and clime. It is about white olive of Tirana, Karen, wich is well known to the whole area, other varieties include the olive of Berat district with Kaninjotin, the olives of Vlora etc. "The difference is that we are oriented toward results, distributing of seedlings which are visible, tangible, certified and we not simply rely on the distribution of money for the scheme, which expand the surface, but do not guarantee the quality and efficiency of production", head of Agriculture said.
The Minister also gave a message to the current political situation, saying that "this tree of peace and kindness is a symbol to be followed from the politics and society, which needs peace and harmony, so I hope to be a good omen for the political and social climate."
